Luke Standerfer and Nick Parks went 1-2 in the 3200m at the 1A State Meet in 1997. Look at the results here. I believe we are the only school in 1A to go 1-2 in a running event. The previous fall Standerfer finished third in the 1A State Cross Country Meet with a time of 15:15, the highest finish of any Redskin, even beating Derik Eaton's fourth place finish in 1985 when he ran a 15:13.1 the season before he set the 3200m and 1600m school records that still stand (9:22 and 4:23 respectively).
